Shortcodes

In order to insert shortcodes to a page/post, search and insert the ‘shortcode’ option. At the end of this page, we also explain how you can add parameters to your shortcodes.

  • Using the shortcode [yith_auction_products] you can show the complete list of auction products in your shop.

  • By using the shortcode [yith_auction_non_started] you are able to show a list of auction products that have not been started yet.

  • Using the shortcode [yith_auction_current] you can show all current live auctions on one page.

  • By using the shortcode [yith_auction_out_of_date] you can show all auctions that are no longer live, auctions that are ‘out of date’.

  • By using the shortcode [yith_wcact_out_of_stock] you can show all auctions that are out of stock.
Auction out of stock shortcode
  • This [yith_wcact_unsubscribe_auction] ‘unsubscribe’ shortcode is added to the automatically created page unsubscribe page.

Use parameters in shortcodes

By using for example “orderby” or “category” you can show not only the auctions you wish to show, using the shortcode, but also decide the order and/or the category to show.

Below you will find 2 examples using the ‘Current auctions’ shortcode, in combination with the parameters.

Widgets

In Appearance > widgets > you will find the 4 widgets that come with the plugin so you can easily add them in the areas available.

YITH Auctions

Complete list of all auctions; decide between showing ‘latest’ auctions or ‘featured’ auctions.

YITH Auctions Ended

Show a list of all auctions that are no longer active.

YITH Auctions Future

Show auctions that have not started yet.

YITH Auctions Watchlist

The watchlist widget offers 2 options, either the extended watchlist that you can see in the first example, or the ‘mini watchlist’ that you can see in the second example.

Show auctions that the user has added to his watchlist in the sidebar.

Mini watchlist

Show auctions that the user has added to his watchlist in the mini widget.

You can insert and set this ‘mini watchlist’ in widgets > YITH Watchlist > Show mini widget. From here you can also decide to show the item counter.

Blocks

The plugin includes 4 blocks you can add in any page of your site by clicking on the + button.

YITH Auction Products

Using this block you can show the complete list of auction products regardless of their status (Scheduled, currently available for bidding, closed).

With this block you can show all auctions that are no longer live, auctions that are ”closed”

You can show all current live auction (which it is currently possible to bid).

Auction Show bidding list

This block allows to set the list of bids displayed in the “bids” tab of the product page.

YITH Easy Login

From YITH > Auctions > General > Auction options > Login/Register modal”, you can enable the integration between the two plugins.

  • Show a login/register modal: Show a popup asking the user to login/register, before placing a bid.

User will see a popup asking him to login/register in order to start bidding.

YITH Frontend Manager for WooCommerce

YITH Frontend Manager for WooCommerce adds a frontend dashboard to your site. This way the administrator and shop managers can manage orders, products, and coupons as they would from WordPress dashboard.

Due to the integration you will be able to also manage auction products from the frontend.

After installing and activating both plugins, auction products will be available among product types on the frontend.

Please note – When the two plugins are used also in combination with YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendorvendors don’t have the possibility to reschedule their auctions and cannot see the Auction status meta box.

YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor

With YITH Multi Vendor you can turn your e-commerce store into a marketplace (a multi-vendor platform) like Amazon or Etsy. Turn your e-commerce store into a marketplace (a multi-vendor platform) and earn commissions on orders generated by your vendors.

If used with YITH WooCommerce Auctions you will be able to create an auction store and let also your vendors create and manage their own auctions. They will be able to create auction products manage:

  • price
  • backup price
  • required amount for a rise
  • auction duration
  • auction rescheduling option

If combined also with YITH Frontend Manager plugin, your vendors will be able to create and edit an auction product from the frontend dashboard.
