With YITH WooCommerce MailChimp you can manage email marketing campaigns for your e-commerce in a few simple gestures and automatically save your customers’ email addresses into specific lists based on the purchase.
The combination with YITH WooCommerce Membership the admin can set up Mailchimp lists in the membership plans. So when a user becomes a member they will be added to the selected Mailchimp list.
To do that, just make sure you’ve installed and activated both plugins from the Plugins menu and configured both plugins based on your needs.
Then, open a membership plan: you’ll see a metabox on the right side, called MailChimp, where you specify the list to which users have to be subscribed whenever they have this membership plan activated.
Also, you can enable or disable the checkbox in the same metabox: Unsubscribe when expired or cancelled. If you enable this option, every time the membership expires, the user’s email address will be removed from the related MailChimp list. If disabled, the email address will be kept even if the plan expires or is cancelled.
With YITH Multi Vendor you can turn your e-commerce store into a marketplace (a multi-vendor platform) like Amazon or Etsy. Turn your e-commerce store into a marketplace (a multi-vendor platform) and earn commissions on orders generated by your vendors.
The integration with YITH Multi Vendor consists of two parts, one related to what the admin can do (change the number of products that a vendor can publish based on the subscribed plan) and another part to what the vendors can do (create and manage their own membership plans). Let’s see more in detail below.
1. Admin – vendors plans with different number of products
With this integration, the admin will be able to create specific membership plans and edit for each of them the number of products that a vendor can upload on the marketplace.
In this way, you can have different plans with different prices that can be purchased based on the number of products they want to create and sell. By adding the “Become a vendor” page to the “Permissions” options of the membership plan, users who have purchased it will be able to register as vendors.
Just by way of example, you can have something like this:
Bronze plan: vendor can upload and sell only 10 products for €100
Silver plan: vendor can upload and sell only 20 products for €180
Golden plan: vendor can upload and sell only 50 products for €300
To control these settings, just open the membership plan details and scroll down until you find the Multi Vendor section:
Additionally, if you combine this with YITH Subscription plugin, the payment of a membership plan can become a recurring payment and so vendors will be required to pay every month/week/year to keep their products visible and purchasable in your marketplace.
2. Vendors – let vendors create their own membership plans
Every vendor in the shop will be able to arrange his/her own products in one or more membership plans: only subscribers will be able to access the membership-related content.
To enable this specific integration, make sure you select the option Membership products in the option Vendor can sell available in YITH > Multi Vendor > Vendors > Vendors permissions.
Once the membership add-on is enabled, each vendor will be able to see a Memberships menu with two tabs:
Plans: where they can create/view/edit/remove their own membership plans and include their products in it, and
Members: where they can see find all users who have access to one or more of their membership plans.
For all information about how to create and manage vendors, you can refer to the documentation of YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor.
YITH Points and Rewards allows you to build a points-based loyalty programme on your site and leverage the gamification strategies to win your customers’ trust.
Thanks to the integration with YITH Membership, you can create specific rules and make sure that member users only earn points or that they can earn a different number of points (for example, “Gold” members can earn double points).
If you want to make sure that only users with a specific membership plan can earn points or a different amount of points, then, you have to configure a specific rule from the Points rules.
In the Apply rule to select Users with a membership plan and then select the plan (in our screenshot this rule applies to Gold users only).
Example: if we want that Club subscription plan users earn double points this is how we should configure the rule from Points rules.
The same applies for the Redeem rules, where you will be able to see the User with a membership plan option in the Apply rule to.
Example: you can choose to let Club subscription users get a 1$ discount every 1 point when redeeming their points.
Extra points for members
Additionally, you can also assign extra points to users who join a specific membership plan.
If both plugins are activated, you will be able to find an additional dropdown rule in the Extra points subtab (YITH > Points and Rewards > Points options > Extra points) called Extra points for members of specific plans.
You can create multiple rules for each membership plan in your shop.
YITH WooCommerce Product Add-Ons & Extra Options allows you to configure additional options to add to products in your shop. For each option, it’s possible to choose a name, an image and a price, which will add up to the basic ones the product has.
Thanks to the integration between these two plugins, you will be able to create blocks of options and show them only to users belonging to specific membership plans through the dedicated options.
Thanks to the integration with YITH WooCommerce Subscription, you can let users purchase memberships with a subscription plan.
If you want to set a new membership with a subscription plan, you have to follow the same configuration process described in this page, but pay attention to the set duration.
We suggest to keep it disabled, so the renewal time and the membership status will be entirely handled through the subscription plugin.
The price and billing cycle of the membership product can be set up from the metabox option in the product:
For further information about the correct configuration of a subscription plan linked to a membership, please read the official guide of YITH WooCommerce Subscription.
As mentioned above, the status of the membership will be managed automatically by YITH WooCommerce Subscription, so when the subscription status changes, the status of the linked membership will change accordingly. In the following table you can see the correspondence between the statuses of the two plugins, so that you can understand better which statuses the membership can have following the status of the subscription.

When the subscription is cancelled automatically by the system (e.g., a failed payment), memberships get the cancelled status. If administrators or users decide to cancel on purpose a subscription plan, the membership will get the “expiring”status, and its expiration date will be the same of the subscription’s one. In this way, memberships will get the “cancelled” status the same day in which the subscription plan will have it too.
Pay attention when you delete a subscription plan from the system: if this is linked to a membership of the shop, the membership will get “cancelled” status.
