This is the section where you can manage global permissions for users publishing their reviews. To configure the options, go to Settings > User permissions.
General permissions
Below are the options for the actions that your users will be able to perform when enabled.
- User can: select one or more of the following options:
- Publish multiple reviews for the same product
- Write a title for their reviews
- Edit their reviews
- Delete their reviews
- Reply to reviews
- Vote reviews as helpful
- Report reviews as inappropriate
- Highlight a review as helpful after: define the number of votes needed to add the review to the Most helpful reviews tab automatically;
Note: the tab Most helpful reviews shows only if the related option in the Review box settings is selected.
- Users that can report reviews: choose if all users or only logged ones can report reviews as inappropriate;
- Hide a review automatically after: define the number of reportings needed to hide the review automatically.
Image attachments
To allow users to attach video files to their reviews, enable the option Allow image uploads.
You can then configure the following options:
- Max. number of images: define the maximum number of images per review that users can upload;
- Supported file formats: select the supported formats by choosing from jpg, jpeg, gif, png, and webp;
- Upload size limit (MB): enter the maximum size allowed for the upload (in MB).
Video Attachments
To allow users to attach image files to their reviews, enable the option Allow video uploads.
You can then configure the following options:
- Max. number of videos: define the maximum number of videos per review that users can upload;
- Supported file formats: select the supported formats by choosing from flv, m4v, mp4, ogv, webm, and wmv;
- Upload size limit (MB): enter the maximum size allowed for the upload (in MB).
