This page of the documentation describes all features of the premium version of YITH WooCommerce Name Your Price. You can apply restrictions to the prices decided by users, and configure at the same time an open price for all products of the same category.
The plugin lets you set the open price on simple, variable and grouped product types.
Go to the configuration page of the product and activate the “Name Your Price” option.
Now set the following values:
- Suggested price
- Minimum price
- Maximum price
Please note: if you don’t set the minimum price, the product could also be purchased free of cost
Once saved, the suggested price will be shown in the product detail page, with both the allowed minimum and maximum prices for the product. If invalid prices are added, the plugin will show an error message, and it will prevent to add the product to the cart.
The plugin lets you apply an open price to all products of a category at the same time. In order to do it, go the settings panel of the plugin from YIT Plugins -> Name Your Price, click on the tab “Active Rules”, and add a new rule with the “Add Rule” button.
Now configure the price settings you want to apply and select the interested categories with the related search field.
Do no forget to activate the “Rule behavior” option to allow the plugin to activate the rule correctly. In this way, you will just have to deactivate the option in order to deactivate the rule without removing it.
Once the configuration will be completed, click on the “Add category rule” button to save. From this moment on, all products of the selected category will have an open price with the option here indicated.
The list of the created rules is available in the section YIT Plugins -> Name Your Price -> Active Rules.
Please note: The category rules can be overwritten from within the single product.
All labels and messages shown by the plugin can be edited from the settings panel of the plugin, directly from the “General Settings” section.
YITH Frontend Manager for WooCommerce adds a frontend dashboard to your site through which the administrator and shop managers can manage orders, products, and coupons as they would do from the WordPress dashboard.
If combined with WooCommerce YITH Name Your Price, you will be able to edit Name Your Price options like “Suggested price” and “Minimum and Maximum price” on the product page right on the frontend. To do it, you only need to install and activate both plugins.
The integration between YITH WooCommerce Name Your Price and YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor allows registered vendors to configure the open price on their products. Moreover, vendors can also create rules of open price for product categories from the option “Name Your Price”: this will be added to the main list of the options of their administration area.
The rule will be applied only to the products of the selected category of that particular vendor.
YITH WooCommerce Quick View allows the users to get a quick view of the product for which they are interested. The product details will be shown in a popup, so they don’t need to leave the current page. Using the plugin in combination with the YITH WooCommerce Name Your Price plugin, your customers can choose the amount they wish to pay in quick view popup.
In order to make the two plugins work together you only have to activate them, and set them up as you wish. A ‘name your price’ option will appear in the quick view popup.
With YITH WooCommerce Request a Quote you give your users the chance to ask for a price estimate for one or more products in your shop. Once the request is received, you can process your offer and send it via email. If they accept the quote, your users will be able to check out at the agreed price.
The integration with YITH Name Your Price allows your users to first set their own price for the product and then add this to the quote. The admin get the price and will make his/her offer.
Just make sure both premium plugins are activated in the Plugins tab and set your preferences as explained in the plugin documentation.
Now your users can set their own price on a product, and then add it to the quote list and ask for a price estimate.
The admin will get the price entered by the user and will be able to confirm or edit the price and send his/her own offer.
