Configure a survey

Please, note that surveys in this plugin have been conceived as one-question surveys, so each question is a new survey. In order to avoid confusion about terms, please, don’t forget that!

Create surveys with no restrictions on the number of answers you can configure for each of them. To create a new one-question survey, just click on “Add New Survey” that you can find in “Surveys” entry in your WordPress menu.

First of all, you have to add the text to your question.

Add a new survey

Before entering answers, choose the page on which you want to show the survey on your site:

  • Checkout page

WooCommerce Checkout

  • Product detail page: if you leave “Choose product” field empty, the survey will show on every product.

  • On any page on the site: this is the only case you can configure the survey in this section to have the possibility to add the survey using the shortcode or a widget.

Add survey answer

Let’s imagine we want to show the survey on each product page (after “Add to cart” button): the page will show more or less as follows.

Survey on product page

Only registered users can answer the survey(s) and no more than once.

Required answer

You can set answers to a survey as a required field only if they are shown on the checkout page. To do that, you just have to check the option “Required” during the survey configuration.

Required survey

If you set the survey as required, users have to answer the survey before being able to complete the checkout and their order.

Hide survey

By enabling “Hide survey only after one answer is given” the survey form will be hidden to users who have already given an answer.

YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor

With YITH Multi Vendor you can turn your e-commerce store into a marketplace (a multi-vendor platform) like Amazon or Etsy.

If used with YITH Surveys, also your vendors can create their own surveys and show them on their product pages.

To use this option, make sure both plugins are installed and activated. Then, enable the Survey module from YITH > Multi Vendor > Modules.

Now, your vendors will be able to create their own surveys.

Please, consider, however, that the surveys can only be displayed on the product page (no checkout option available for vendors).
