GDPR Compliance

The plugin is GDPR compliant. You can read about which options have been added to make it compliant.

Among the plugin options in YITH > Abandoned Cart > Settings, you can choose whether saving the abandoned carts of guest users. Specifically, you can add a checkbox for guests so they can agree with the use of their email by the plugin.

The checkbox text can be customized, as well as the time it takes to identify a cart as ‘abandoned‘. If you decide that the cart has to be left for 24 hours before it’s marked as abandoned, you’ll have to update your policies and include this time there.

For logged in users, instead, if you add the suggested text in the WordPress privacy policy in the part related to our plugin, you’ll be GDPR compliant.

If a user wants to get their data deleted from your store, the plugin uses the WordPress built-in feature which you can use and also the user data related to their abandoned carts will be removed.

WPML

The premium version of the “YITH WooCommerce Recvover Abandoned Cart” plugin gives you the compatibility with the multi-language sites that use WPML. The abandoned cart report tracks the language of the user of that cart. Click on any abandoned cart of your shop to know the related languages.

Just like any other WordPress post, the created email template can be translated with WPML in any language configured in the site.
Open the email template and activate the option you find at the bottom of the page, within the “Multilungual Setup” section.
Now you have to create the translated copy of the template with WPML through the related box in the right part of the page.

Once you will have ended the translation of all created templates, the plugin will send the emails in the related languages of the abandoned carts.
