In this case, the global rules that you set will override the default product availability.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, if you want to make an exception to the global rules, you can use the &#8216;<strong>Additional availability rules&#8217;<\/strong> on the product edit page.<\/p>\n<p>So, what is the order exactly?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First: The global availability rules, from top to bottom (which override the default availability).<\/li>\n<li>Second: The additional rules set in the product edit page, from top to bottom (which override the global availability rules).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This implies that at the same time frame <strong>more availability rules can apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h6>Example case &#8211; Paris room<\/h6>\n<p>The default availability for our Paris room is that it is bookable during the complete year.<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/default-availability.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3857 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/default-availability.png\" alt=\"set default availability\" width=\"1142\" height=\"332\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/default-availability.png 1142w, https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/default-availability-300x87.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/default-availability-1024x298.png 1024w, https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/default-availability-768x223.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1142px) 100vw, 1142px\" \/><\/a> However, now we have 3 separate rules we want to apply:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Each year, during the winter months (December, January, and February), it is not possible to book any of our rooms.<\/li>\n<li>Due to renovations, the Paris room is not bookable in November 2023.<\/li>\n<li>Due to Valentine&#8217;s day, the Paris room is bookable in February each year, unlike the rest of the rooms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Rule 1 &#8211; Winter months closure<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/create-global-rule.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3858 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/create-global-rule.png\" alt=\"global availability example\" width=\"1252\" height=\"1170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/create-global-rule.png 1252w, https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/create-global-rule-300x280.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/create-global-rule-1024x957.png 1024w, https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-booking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/294\/2018\/03\/create-global-rule-768x718.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1252px) 100vw, 1252px\" \/><\/a>This needs to be a global availability rule, as this closure applies to the complete store.
