The rule priority order is the following (sorted from highest to lowest priority):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>User\/product variation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User\/product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product variation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product category<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User role<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-blue-background-color has-background\"><strong>Example<\/strong>: a product rule will always have priority over a category rule, but a product rule set on a variation will have priority over a rule on the parent product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-yellow-background-color has-background\"><strong>Please, note<\/strong>: <br><strong>excluded products and affiliates<\/strong> (from the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-affiliates\/premium-version-settings\/general-options\/general-options\/\">General options<\/a> tab): these will never be considered in the priority rule calculation and will win over any other rule.<br>Also note that you can <strong>override the affiliate&#8217;s rate<\/strong> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.yithemes.com\/yith-woocommerce-affiliates\/premium-version-settings\/affiliates-menu\/affiliates-profile\/\">affiliate&#8217;s profile<\/a>, but this will not create a visible rule on this page. Make sure you keep that in mind when setting your affiliate&#8217;s rates both from the affiliate profile and from this page. All other product rules will win also on affiliate rates set in the affiliate&#8217;s profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manual order among rules of the same type. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also set a custom priority value in the rule settings or leave it empty and automatically sort it by dragging and dropping from the rules list, which will update this number. <br>Yet, please, be aware that with this value you can only define the priority among the rules <strong>of the same type<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-blue-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Example<\/strong>. You have the following rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>priority 1 &#8211; 15% on <code>Luxury watch<\/code> (<em>product<\/em> rule)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>priority 2 &#8211; 30% on <code>Luxury watch<\/code> for <code>affiliate Susanne<\/code> (<em>user\/product<\/em> rule)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone purchases the Luxury watch through affiliate Susanne&#8217;s referral link, Susanne will get a 30% commission, regardless of any priority value that you set, because it&#8217;s two different rule types and user\/product rules have always higher priority than product rules.
