The Polygon Documentation
Congratulations. You have completed Step 1 and are now ready to begin customizing your plugin.
In this section, you will learn how to locate and install the demo content and download images so that your site may look like our demo site.
1. Install Demo ContentBack to top
Install Demo Content – On the left sidebar of your The Polygon theme, find and click on “The Polygon”.
Scroll down to “Sample data” and click to open.
Note: Before clicking on Install sample data, make sure you followed all the steps in the page.
Now, on the right side, click on “import Data”.
A box will be displayed if data import was successful.
If you get some error instead, go to the left sidebar, scroll down to “Backup & Reset” and click to open.
You will see a page as shown below:
N.B. Data can be imported only if their format is .gz and it mustn't be decompressed.
Download and install images
Download and Install Images – Installing the demo content is not enough to make your new site look exactly like ours.
You will also need to download and install sample images provided with the theme.
The photos used in our demos are licensed by http://www.fotolia.com, and are copyrighted by Fotolia. These photos should not be saved, copied nor redistributed in any way
(Read our Terms and conditions).
Stay on the page. Below "Install Sample Data", you will see “Download Sample Images”. Click on it.
Your browser will start the download soon.
Look for the downloaded file, double-click on it, find Uploads folder and drag and drop it to your desktop.
Upload this folder via FTP. See Getting started, if you want to read about how to upload items to your FTP files. Once you have opened the necessary files, drag and drop your Uploads folder into wp-content folder.
